Vodafone’s flexible deal for local and international calls

vodafone_redVodafone now makes it convenient for Australians using their mobile in Australia or travelling overseas with the release of its new RED SIM-Only, 12 and 24 month plans. This offer gives greater value for international calls from Australia, access to competitive deals when roaming overseas, and generous standard call, text and data allowances to use when in Australia.

As a truly global network, Vodafone is able to offer new Red SIM-Only and postpaid customers, 300 international standard minutes per month to call anywhere in the world from Australia and access to Vodafone’s award-winning $5-a-day Roaming deal which gives customers the ability to use their mobile phone plan in 47 countries for just $5 a day.

Vodafone’s Chief Marketing Officer Kim Clarke said “Customer feedback was at the heart of the design of our Red plans. Customers have told us they want a plan designed to suit their needs such as easy access to international calling, more data included in their plans and more affordable roaming rates.”

Together with Vodafone’s incredible value for international calling and roaming, customers can enjoy Infinite minutes of standard national talk and text, including standard international TXT from Australia including 13 and 1800 numbers.

With Smartphone data usage continuing to grow, Vodafone Red SIM-Only and postpaid plans now also have generous built-in data inclusions, with up to 60 per cent more data than before (like $80 Red plan now has 4GB of data from 2.5GB), and in an Australian-first initiative Data Workout and Automated Data Top-Ups have been designed to give customers great value and peace of mind when using data on their phones:

  1. Data Workout – has been carefully designed to help customers understand their data usage patterns. In an Australian first, customers can use as much data as they like in Australia during the first two months to find out what data inclusion they need each month over a 12 or 24-month contract. At the end of the first two months Vodafone will contact customers to help them understand their data usage patterns and recommend the right plan for their data needs. Customers can also check their usage at any time through the new-look MyVodafone app.
  2. Automated Data Top-Ups – new and upgrading Vodafone customers can combat excess data charges with the introduction of a new, automated $10 Data Top-Up, which gives them another 1GB of data. This kicks in the minute you exceed your plan’s data allowance and will help to eliminate the fear of bill shock with excess data usage charges. Automated Data Top Ups are also available on Vodafone’s Mobile Broadband Plans. For existing Vodafone customers, they can choose to add a Data Booster to their plan, which is offered at the same rate of $10 for 1GB.

The new Vodafone Red plans are available on a SIM-only basis with no lock-in contract or a 12 or 24 month contract bundled with one of the latest phones in Vodafone’s range such as the Samsung GS5 or iPhone 5.
