CLOC Musical Theatre, regarded as the pre-eminent non-professional musical theatre company in Melbourne, is looking for multi-cultural and multi-talented cast members for their forthcoming production of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

CLOC is about to produce the first non-professional production of Priscilla for Melbourne audiences. Based on the iconic Oscar-winning 1994 Australian film, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is the hilarious adventure of three loud, proud and very different friends who hop aboard a battered old bus bound for the Outback to put on the show of a lifetime.

While behind-the-scenes preparations have been underway for some time at CLOC, auditions are about to be held for this landmark production. We are looking for a dynamic and versatile cast who can meet the acting, singing and vocal requirements of the show and we welcome all ethnicities, sizes, age ranges and genders to audition. In particular, we are looking for a character performer for the role of Cynthia, who plays the role of Bob’s feisty Filipino wife. She needs to be a singer/dancer as she will perform as a member of the ensemble as well. We are also looking for a performer to play the role of Jimmy, a friendly indigenous Australian bloke. Jimmy will also perform as a member of the ensemble.

Bookings for auditions will open on Friday November 1 and will be held on November 16 and 17. Audition bookings and inquiries can be made on

1300 362 547. Audition information can be found on the CLOC website www.cloc.org.au/priscilla.
