Benguet town set to establish engineered sanitary landfill

TUBA, Benguet – The municipal government here is now doubling its efforts to enlighten residents of Barangay Taloy Sur which is located along Marcos Highway on the benefits of hosting an engineered sanitary landfill that it plans to set up over a 2.3-hectare land which was purchased from a private individual.

The town’s plan to construct its own engineered sanitary landfill in the area will come way ahead of Baguio City, a highly urbanized city in the country, which is having some serious problems on the establishment of its own permanent engineered sanitary landfill.
