Isko Moreno launches candidacy for president in 2022

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso has formally launched his bid for the presidency in the 2022 Philippine elections today, 22 September in one of the country’s poorest communities – Baseco Compound in Tondo, Manila.

Moreno has chosen Doc Willie Ong as his running mate for vice-president.

In choosing Doc Willie Ong, Mayor Moreno said yesterday “Effective ako sa Maynila kasi doktora ang partner ko. Magiging effective ako sa bansa kung doktor ang partner ko.”

Senator Ping Lacson and Senator Manny Pacquiao have earlier announced their decision to run for president in the Philippine Elections next year.
