MANILA, March 1 (PNA) — Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle urged the faithful to remember Jesus Christ who never left them.

Ash Wednesday is the start of the 40-day Lenten Season.

Likewise, the head of the Archdiocese of Manila asked the people to be intense in hearing, readying and praying the word of God.

Tagle noted that people should not give importance to words that did not come from God.

Buti pa ‘yung mga walang katuturang salita, pinakikinggan at may tumutugon,” he said.

The Catholic prelate added that faithful should also learn change their inner selves not for only for themselves but towards God.
