Super Low Airfares Tempt Aussies to Visit Idyllic Philippines

Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading airline, is offering super low prices for Aussie travellers during March as part of its “Super Seat Fest” with prices starting from as low as $199* ex Melbourne all-in one-way and $209* ex Sydney all-in one-way.

The initiative celebrates Cebu Pacific’s 29th birthday and coincides with the fact the Philippines has now been recognised as one of the fastest-growing outbound destinations for Australians. The Bureau of Statistics reveals the number of visitors to the Philippines surged from 112,500 in 2022 to 233,170 in 2023 with the figure expected to hit 250,000 when the 2024 numbers are released.

“With its stunning natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage and amazing value for money, the Philippines is soaring in popularity as a destination of choice for Australians seeking an affordable, yet unforgettable, holiday,” said a spokesperson for Cebu Pacific.

“We have always prided ourselves on our year-round low cost airfares, but our Super Seat Fest will see us offering even deeper discounts. Australian travellers can take advantage of the low fares on offer during March to travel with us anytime through until February 2026.

“And with our new ‘hub strategy’, passengers can seamlessly connect from the main gateway of Manila to key hubs such as Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Clark. In fact, we offer the most extensive network of any airline operating in the Philippines.”

From Manila, Aussies can fly to 29 other destinations across the archipelago, including Cagayan de Oro for whitewater rafting and Puerto Princesa for a cruise along the Underground River, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. They can also go canyoneering at Kawasan Falls or head to Davao for underwater activities in the Island Garden City of Samal, where coral reefs and diverse marine life thrive.

Just a two-hour drive from Manila, Clark offers direct flights to Siargao, the country’s surfing capital, where world-class waves and island-hopping adventures await. Guests can also fly direct from Clark to Coron and El Nido, where they can dive into history with the shipwrecks of Coron Bay or swim in the calm emerald waters of El Nido’s Secret Lagoon.

Cebu Pacific flew its maiden voyage on 8 March 1996. Since then, the airline has flown over 250 million passengers. Expanding its global reach, CEB launched its Sydney-Manila route in 2014, followed by Melbourne-Manila in 2018 and now offers daily services from Sydney and 4 flights a week from Melbourne.

With many Aussies looking for new and exciting alternatives to other locations in South East Asia, there has never been a better time to consider the Philippines for a get-away. For more information and to book, go to www.cebupacificair.com.

* Applies to bookings made between March 6-11 and March 28-31. Prices across the rest of the month are $269 ex Melbourne and $249 ex Sydney. Check Cebu Pacific Air website for travel periods.
