Chinese New Year fete in Binondo

The Year of the Wood Horse was ushered in by a grandiose celebration in Binondo, Manila, the world’s oldest Chinatown established in 1594. Paint the town red, symbolises the colour of happiness, luck, and prosperity. In the Philippines, this is a highly-anticipated celebration, especially in Binondo where the concentration of Filipino-Chinese still reside.
