Come Join the Feast of Christ the King at St Patrick’s Cathedral this November 26

Join us on Sunday, 26th November 2023, at 2:00 pm, for a deeply spiritual celebration of the Feast of Christ the King at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Melbourne, organized by the Combined Societies of Mary. This event, titled “A Grace Filled Afternoon of Prayer,” is dedicated to honouring the kingship of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and King, whose boundless love and sacrifice offer salvation to all.

A Reflection of Divine Love and Sacrifice

The celebration serves as a profound reminder of the incredible love that Jesus demonstrated through His life and sacrifices. It’s a day to acknowledge the true treasure that is the eternal kingdom of God, far surpassing any earthly possession.

Solemn Mass and Eucharistic Procession

The afternoon will feature devoted prayers and a solemn Holy Mass led by Most Rev Bishop Leslie Tomlinson at St Patrick’s Cathedral in Melbourne. Following the Mass, a grand Eucharistic street procession will allow attendees to affirm their faith publicly, in line with the promise of divine recognition in Luke 12:8.

Inspirations from Mother Eugenia’s Message

Aligned with the messages received by Mother Eugenia in 1932, this feast is a call to enthusiastically and fervently honor Christ the King, making reparation for the insults He received during His Passion. Our participation is a testament to our love and reverence for Jesus.

An Inclusive Celebration for All

This event welcomes everyone to partake in the joyous acknowledgment of Christ’s kingship. It is a family-friendly celebration, inviting people of all ages. Free, beautiful rosaries will be distributed to attendees as a symbol of prayerful commitment.
