Fil-Aussie COVID nurse frustrated with the violent protests in Melbourne

By Alyssa Limbo

I truly cannot fully express how disappointed and frustrated I am with the things I see on the news. With the violent protests and causing trouble in the Melbourne CBD out of ignorance and selfishness. It’s just ridiculous.

I am a registered nurse who currently works in a SCOVID ward (we were once neurology/stroke) and let me tell you, my amazing nursing colleagues and I are all so exhausted and burnt out because of short staffing whilst also getting an influx of patients who have been exposed to Tier 1 Exposure sites.

We are all mentally and physically tired because of this pandemic in which we have been battling for literally two years now.

Please please please, healthcare workers need your help – by getting the jab, staying home when unwell, and getting tested, it will truly mean a lot for us. Please be responsible.
