Goodbye, Jess and Alma Remo

Alma Remo Jesus Remo

The news last 10 March about the death of well-loved Filipino couple, Jess and Alma went like wildfire and left the Filipino community distraught. The Remo couple, together with their daughter Jessa, 19, were driving to work on Hopkins Road in Truganina when their car collided with a truck.

“Our family would like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest appreciation for the thoughtfulness presented to us and love we have been given during our time of bereavement,” says a thank you message from CJ, Jessa and Matte, the three orphaned children of Jess and Alma.

The two groups, the Filipino Friendship Group of Melton Inc and the Triskelion Melbourne Council of Victoria have been assisting the family by holding masses and collections of donations.

On 30 April, 2016, Triskelion Melbourne will spearhead “A Tribute Night for Jess and Alma Remo” to raise funds to assist the three Remo children. The tribute is scheduled at 6pm at St. Bernadette Community Centre in Sunshine North. One Vision Aid will also be a major part of the fundraising event.
