APCCI holds small business seminar in Blacktown

BLACKTOWN, NSW – The Aust Philippines Chamber of Commerce Inc. (APCCI) held a small business seminar on 10 April at the Max Webber Library in Blacktown, with Filipino and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) entrepreneurs attending to gain insights on business support and growth.

The event, led by APCCI president Jun Capili, focused on providing practical guidance and strengthening connections among small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Speakers included Catherine Ellis, Acting NSW Small Business Commissioner, and Emmanuel Ang, Philippine Commercial Consul and Special Trade Representative of the Philippine Trade and Investment Centre (PTIC) in Sydney under the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

Ellis outlined support available to small businesses in New South Wales, while Ang highlighted opportunities for trade and investment between Australia and the Philippines.

Attendees took part in discussions on business challenges, collaboration, and pathways for growth, reflecting APCCI’s aim to support small and emerging enterprises within Filipino and broader multicultural communities.

APCCI describes its role as supporting business development and fostering connections that contribute to Australia–Philippines trade and investment.
