Donnie Pangilinan and Belle Mariano are teaming up for ABS CBN’s latest teen drama offering: He’s Into Her, playing Deib Lohr Enrile and Maxpein del Valle respectively. The series is based from the Precious Pages novel by Maxinejiji.
Donnie or Deib Lohr is the leader of the Alpha 3, the “it” group of boys of Benison International School who at first hated Belle aka Maxpein’s guts but eventually falls for her tough and honest charm.
The trailer for the new series is very reminiscent of Meteor Garden and Boys Over Flowers. The show’s director Chad Vidanes explained that although the concept isn’t new and has been used many times, it is still relevant; and that the characters and their personal experiences will differentiate them from the other shows. Headwriter Vanessa Valdez also added that the production team really made an effort to make it different from the above-mentioned shows, and that the new talents will give the story a very GenZ attitude. They will also make the story relevant to the times with social media and online interactions playing a major role in the series.
And just because the series is targeted for teens, it does not mean that the older generation can’t enjoy watching He’s Into Her as well. Apart from reminding you of your younger self: high school crushes and your first love. It also features love for the family, which all generations can relate to.
Completing the high school barkada are Joao Constancia, Jeremiah Lisbo, Vivoree, Kaori Oinuma, Rhys Miguel, Criza Taa, Ashley Del Mundo, Gello Marquez, Dalia Varde, Sophie Reyes, Melizza Jimenez and Limer Veloso.
He’s Into Her is a 10 part, hour long series which will available weekly from IWantTFC starting on May 28.
