Vice President Leni Robredo has been endorsed by 1Sambayan for President in the upcoming Philippine elections. It is suggested that it will be a remote possibility that VP Leni Robredo will decline the nomination.
The convenors of 1Sambayan expect a response from Leni at any time, who is currently in Bicol. An overwhelming majority of 1Sambayan members have given their support.
The endorsement was announced by Justice Antonio Carpio in the presence of media, including The Philippine Times (Australia). A full slate of candidates is expected to be endorsed.
The Australian branch of 1Sambayan is based in Sydney with the aim “to educate and unify the Filipino-Australian communities to support, to be involved and to act to prevent an authoritarian government from taking hold in the Philippines in the Election 2022”.
