Knox Basketball to host Ateneo Blue Eagles in Melbourne

Exciting news! The Philippines’ premier collegiate basketball varsity team, The Ateneo Blue Eagles Men’s Basketball team, will land in Melbourne this June to participate in a few matches against Melbourne’s top Men’s NBL1 and Youth Teams. This event is hosted by the Knox Basketball Incorporated (KBI). The general public will witness top-quality basketball, and there is no better team to invite than one of the most successful collegiate basketball teams in the Philippines, winning 26 championships.

Grant Harrison, the CEO of Knox Basketball, is equally excited to be a part of this upcoming event. “It’s an honour to be hosting the Ateneo University Blue Eagles for a series of International friendly practice games. Ateneo, led by Head Coach Tab Baldwin, will take on a select Knox NBL1 team along with other leading NBL1 clubs such as Kilsyth, Melbourne Tigers and a select U20 Victorian State team. This event will showcase an international basketball extravaganza not seen at Knox before. We are also excited to be hosting a high-performance kids’ camp with expert coaches such as Tab Baldwin, Jason Smith and others. It’s going to be a great week of basketball shared by the wider Philippine and local basketball communities bringing both cultures together as one. Tickets will be limited, so make sure you get in fast for this amazing event”.
