Will Red Rooster be adding rice and sweet spaghetti to their menu?

There is a new craze in Australia that is getting the attention of Filipino-Australians.

Filos in Melbourne were pleasantly surprised to discover that the Next Gen fried chicken from Red Rooster tastes a lot like Jollibee’s chicken joy.

As word of the release of Red Rooster’s crunchy chicken range has spread in the Filo community, some have reported that their local Red Rooster has sold out in the last few days.

Geelong-based Hairdresser Lexxy Love loved the chicken-joy style Red Rooster chicken that she posted this on her Facebook account: “This is the closest taste to chicken joy from Jollibee … I live Red Rooster their rebranding won me over!!! omg my diet”

To Lexxy’s surprise, Red Rooster responded back: “Who needs a diet when you’ve got us Lexxy.”

Red Rooster also responded with the question: Is it time to add rice and sweet Spaghetti to the sides menu?

According to the Red Rooster website, its fried chicken range is made from 100% Aussie chicken and it’s completely fresh and not frozen. To achieve an exclusive crunch, it says that the chicken is coated and battered by hand and cooked to achieve a tender and juicy on the inside and crunchy and golden on the outside.

This fried chicken range is offered in anticipation of Red Rooster’s 50th anniversary celebration. The food chain is also rebranding by coming out with its newly designed logo. It will also undergo a makeover of its restaurants, upgrade staff uniform, further menu changes and will take advantage of the latest food technology.
