MFS celebrates Mother’s Day

The Movement for Filipino Solidarity (MFS) celebrated Mother’s Day last 5 May at the Mechanics Hall Institute in Narre Warren.

MFS guests enjoyed the celebration and danced the night away non-stop. The winners of the door prizes and raffle tickets were very happy with their prizes.

One of MFS’s objectives is to initiate activities and programs that will promote solidarity, unity, co-operation and good working relationships between individuals, legitimate organisations, and other ethnic groups.

MFS President Cecille Wheare told The Philippine Times that they are grateful to their donors—JY accounting services  and other generous individuals— who have been supportive of the MFS aims and objectives. “We appreciate and thank them for their ongoing support. It was a great night to celebrate with all the mothers here and overseas,” she said.

The MFS Committee members are Cecille Wheare, President;  Cora Novotny, Vice President; Vilma Egan, Secretary; Josie Young, Treasurer; Priscilla Cunningham, Assistant Treasurer; Maripaz Amores, PRO, and Andre Courtin, Committee Member.
