By Jose Relunia

After an absence of two years, three major Filipino Festivals return this year with the support of the Multicultural NSW Election Funding for Filipino Festivals.

After meeting with the Philippine Australian community leaders – Philippine Community Council of NSW President Cesar Bartolome, Philippine Australian Sports Club Chair Marivic Ayap Flores, and Filipino Australian Community Association in Eastern Suburb Precy Santos, Multicultural NSW has allocated the $100,000 unspent budget (due to the pandemic) to this year’s Filipino Festivals. The other $100,000 unspent budget has been approved by NSW Treasury to be carried forward to next year’s (23/24 FY) Filipino Festival budget.

Philippine Pasko Festival

Tumbalong Park Darling Harbour Saturday 22 October and Sunday 23 October 2022

Multicultural NSW Funding $90,000

A message from the Philippine Community Council of NSW (PCC-NSW Inc.) President Cesar Bartolome

On behalf of PCC-NSW Inc., I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Multicultural NSW for its support by funding this year’s Philippine Pasko (Christmas) Festival. It will be the fifth staging of the Pasko Event hosted by PCC-NSW Inc, which started in 2016. With the easing up of the COVID-19 restrictions, we are anticipating a bigger crowd that would gather in this year’s version of the event with the eagerness of people from the multicultural community to go out and enjoy the freedom to re-connect and re-bond. This year’s Pasko Festival is aptly titled the Philippine Pasko (Christmas) Festival in Spring 2022 since it will be held from 22 to 23 October 2022.
