SUSHI NOH with Felino Dolloso starts its International Film Festival screenings

SUSHI NOH
is a surreal horror film that explores the vivid monstrosities that plague children’s nightmares. The story follows a young Asian Australian child who encounters a strange sushi-making kitchen appliance whilst staying with unpleasant Uncle Donnie.

SUSHI NOH has finally begun its International film festival circuit, the film’s first three screenings will be in the Encounters Film Festival London United Kingdom, Brooklyn Horror Film Festival New York USA and Maniatic International Film Festival in Valencia Spain.

The film is premiering in London cinemas and on-demand at Encounters Film Festival in September 2021. This international film festival competition is an official gateway to the world’s most prestigious awards; the Oscars – Academy Awards®, BAFTAs, BIFAs and the European Film Awards.

It will also screen in cinemas at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival in mid-October, the festival described as bringing the best of domestic and international genre cinema to New York City since 2016. The Brooklyn Horror Film Festival is a premier East Coast genre festival that embodies the eclectic spirit of its namesake. Brooklyn Horror Film Festival not only provides the nightmare fuel that audiences expect but also prides itself on challenging those expectations, spotlighting films that push the boundaries of what is normally deemed horror.

The film then travels to Spain screening at the Maniatic- Fantastic International Film Festival of Manises (Festival Internacional de Cine Fantástico de Manises).
Maniatic Film Festival is an international film festival that takes place in Manises (Valencia) between the months of October and November.

One of the objectives of the Maniatic Film Festival is to have a selection of shorts worthy of the most important and prestigious festivals. The festival wanted the residents of Manises, and the rest of the province of Valencia and the Community to have easy access to works of international prestige, which are not easy to see outside the festival circuit.

Director Jayden Rathsam Hua had this to say about Felino Dolloso in the role of Uncle Donnie.

“I directed Felino in a short horror film in 2020, and he was an absolute delight to work with. His professionalism, passion, and consideration for others on set were well noted by the entire crew, and makes me very excited to work on future projects with him. ” – Jayden Rathsam Hua, Director Sushi Noh
