Taste the flavours of the Philippines at the Grand Fiesta

Mark your calendars for Sunday, 30 June 2024, for a celebration of Filipino culture with the first-ever Philippine Grand Fiesta at the Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne. With over 20 Filipino-Australian food stalls and restaurants participating, this event promises to be a culinary journey like no other. Whether you’re craving the sweet, the savoury or something in between, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Event’s sponsors Mami Ko and Super Pinoy will sell the much talked about pares and mami in the Philippines. If you have heard of the famous Diwata’s pares, then you might as well try it here this Sunday. Ross King’s CTM Australia Pty Ltd will of course do the charcoal Pinoy BBQ. That will all surely delight your taste buds!

Imagine indulging in the colourful and delightful halo-halo, a perfect treat even in the cooler weather. Savour the rich flavours of dinuguan, a comforting pork blood stew, or dive into a hearty bowl of kare-kare, a beloved peanut-based oxtail stew. The scent of sizzling BBQ will fill the air, while a variety of kakanin (rice cakes) and ube pandesal (purple yam bread) will tantalise your taste buds.

This is more than just a food event; it’s a chance to connect with friends and family over lunch, share stories and create lasting memories. The Philippine Grand Fiesta is the perfect excuse to break from routine and immerse yourself in the vibrant culture and mouth-watering cuisine of the Philippines. Don’t miss out on this feast for the senses!
