Art Gallery to hold charity auction

Mara Sison, Gallery Manager of MiFA Asian Pacific Contemporary, invites everyone to attend a charity auction on 17 December 2013, 6.30pm at the MiFA Gallery. “This is in support of the Filipino people who have been recently affected by Super Typhoon Haiyan, also known as ‘Typhoon Yolanda’ in the Philippines. This will be a light evening with friends and colleagues to end 2013,” Sison told The Philippine Times. Sison, a Filipina, said all proceeds and sales to the Typhoon Haiyan Appeal  will go to the Australian Red Cross.

MiFA is an Asian Pacific Contemporary art gallery based at Collins Street, and would love to contribute art works for auction for the cause. “We are happy to announce that we have the support of John Ainger, E.J. Aingers Auction Rooms, who will be the official auctioneer for the night. Our other supporters include Kabo Lawyers, Kozminsky, Philippine Tours, Crown Promenade, SBS Radio Filipino, Philippine Times, Fashion Designer Angela Nicolades, Tony Philips Auctions, and artist Patrick Christie,” she added.

MiFA artists including Chen Ping, Jeremy Blincoe, and Judy Drew who will be donating exciting works for auction.

Some light refreshments will be provided. Tickets will be $15 at the door.
