Australian charity group provides safe water to victims of Typhoon Paeng

Previous posts

After Typhoon Paeng (Nalgae) hit the Philippines on Friday, Disaster Aid Australia is shipping SkyHydrant water filters from Australia.

Several parts of southwestern Mindanao were affected by severe flooding and landslides, including Maguindanao del Norte and Maguindanao del Sur killing over 40 people and affecting over 450,000 others.

On Sunday, the Cotabato team of Balay Mindanaw, a local partner of Disaster Aid Australia, was already in the area setting up SkyHydrant water filters in two of the evacuation centres to provide safe water.

An assessment team was also on site to identify a community that needed help to recover.
