The Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) Melbourne Mission marked an important milestone with the announcement of its first Christian Life Program (CLP), scheduled for August 2026. The announcement was made during a well-attended joint breakfast fellowship at St Joseph’s Church in South Yarra, which drew a strong turnout of returnees, first-timers, and community partners.
BCBP Melbourne, endorsed by the Archdiocese of Victoria and supported by BCBP Global, affiliated with UNIAPAC International, and its sponsoring chapter, BCBP Cebu, continues to grow as a faith-driven community for Filipino professionals and entrepreneurs seeking to integrate Christian values into leadership and the marketplace.
The event was attended by Philippine Consul General Jesus “Gary” Domingo, who addressed the assembly of business leaders, professionals, and emerging executives. In his remarks, he highlighted the importance of integrity, service, and faith-anchored leadership in shaping both the Filipino diaspora and the broader Australian community.
A highlight of the morning was the couple sharing by Bob and Jing Ortega, leaders of the BCBP Melbourne core group. Their testimony—an immigrant journey marked by career transitions, family trials, loss, healing, and renewed purpose—resonated with attendees. They spoke of “His calling” as a thread woven through seasons of achievement, surrender, and service, culminating in their mission to help build a Christ-centred community in Melbourne.
The upcoming CLP will offer a structured series of talks and reflections designed to help participants rediscover Christian values and apply them meaningfully in business, family life, and professional environments.
With growing participation and engagement, BCBP Melbourne continues to build its presence as a faith-based community supporting Filipino professionals and families across Victoria.
