Experience a range of activities this winter in Melbourne

Missed out the winter fun in the last 2 years? The city is coming back with a BANG with a new list of activities worth trying!

Night Activities

  1. Winter Night Market

We’ve got you covered for hump day winter wonderland night! Queen Victoria Market is bringing back to us The Winter Night Market beginning 1 June to 31 August, happening every Wednesday night from 5pm – 10pm.

Grab some food and drinks at your favourite street food trader or enjoy a silent disco with your mate. Entry is free and booking not required.

  • RISING

Surely every corner of the city this winter season will be ‘instagrammable’. Sidney Myer Music Bowl will be transformed with lights, music, and ice-skating rink.

Add to your bucket list this festival that was three years in the making – RISING. RISING will immerse you imagination and senses as they bring The Wilds.

“The Wilds is our moonlit forest of stimulation—a fluoro fantasy of art, sound, taste, and ice. At a transformed Sidney Myer Music Bowl, you’ll encounter voluminous inflatable sculptures, towering projections, and mind-expanding soundscapes in previously inaccessible areas of the iconic venue.”

The Wilds will run from 1 June – 19 June. Open from 5pm – 9pm every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. 5pm – 10pm every Friday to Saturday.

Tickets are from $12-$22. Purchase tickets here – https://tickets.rising.melbourne/the-wilds

Food

  • Donut Festival

Let’s break your usual market shopping routine every weekend by inviting you to drop by at the Donut Festival at Queen Victoria Market, happening only from 4 June – 5 June from 9am to 4pm.

Go to RK – RL SHED and find your favourite market traders like Jamm’d Dessert Bar, Short Stop Melbourne, American Doughnut Kitchen, Churro Kitchen, St Gerry’s, OMG Decadent Donuts, Pasta Face and Cafe Verona.

Grab a coffee too to complete your good morning start. Mmmmmm… Yummy! There’s always room for dessert, hey?
