Some of Sydney’s rising young social media stars got together for a night of fun, networking, meet and greet and celebration at The Carter on O’Connell Street in Sydney on December 14.
The first-ever Social Media Creators Club (SMCC) gathered a diverse group of young Filipino talents from different fields.
Gamer/painter Gigi Perez (@gigiprz), singer-songwriter Alysha Erhan (@alysha.erhan), music producer/rapper Ridge Mantua aka Riddo (@riddo.x), content creator TinTin Adobo (@tintinadobo), Miss Philippines-Australian 2019 winner Stephanie Magno (@stephaniejmagno), fashion stylist Gabe Amor Perez (@gabeamor) and upcoming basketball star Jasper Rentoy attended the first meet up.
They were joined by aspiring Sudanese model Afar Saad, Italian YouTuber Gorjess and eventologist Robert Khoury.
Glenwood-based singer Alysha Erhan had a ball.
“It was really good, all the girls and guys were so nice. I love being surrounded by other influencers and creators because it gives me a boost of inspiration,” said Erhan.
The SMCC Meet Up was organised by hip hop impresario-event creator Marco Selorio (@marcoselorio) with the help of Indonesian deejay DJ Edo.
“In Australia, we want to help inspire and motivate others. The SMCC Meet Up is designed for anyone who creates any kind of content, be it music, dance, online videos, and shows. We hope to unearth more creators and build a more close-knit social media community for Filipinos and Australians through SMCC.”
The next SMCC Meet Up will be happening again in Sydney in January and February. For updates, visit Facebook page MAS Presents.
