First shopping centre opens in Boracay

BORACAY ISLAND, Aklan, Feb. 25 (PNA) — Property developer DoubleDragon Properties Corp. opened its 13th CityMall branch in Boracay Saturday.

The establishment is the first shopping mall in the island with a full-size supermarket.

The mall is located at the corner of Diniwid Beach Road and Boracay Tambisaan Jetty Port Road in Barangay Yapak, about 10 minutes away from the island’s central area.

The mall is envisioned by the developer to cater to locals and tourists of the island.

The establishment is operated by City Malls Commercial Centers Inc. (CMCCI) which is a partnership between DoubleDragon and banking conglomerate SM Investments Corp.

The mall houses famous fast food chains which have not expanded in Boracay yet and a department store.

Meanwhile, locals and tourists flocked the opening of the mall which was graced by singer Darren Espanto and actress Arci Muñoz.
