Jason Day wins the 2015 US PGA Tour

Filipino-Australian Jason Day has won 2015 Farmers Insurance Open in Torrey Pines and overtakes Adam Scott as Australia’s highest-ranked golfer.

This is Day’s third US PGA Tour victory.

In the final round of the Farmers Open, four players enter sudden death playoffs but it was Jason Day surviving and defeating J.B. Holmes in the second playoff hole.

Dau is now projected to move to world number four, pushing Scott down to number five.

“It sounds good to be the champion,” Day said.

“It sounds good to be the champion,” said Day, winner of the 2010 Byron Nelson and 2014 WGC Match Play tournaments.

“It is an amazing feeling. I just kept visualising myself holding the trophy. I’m really proud of myself.”
