Only Vera touches my hair

DON’T be surprised if you have a styled haircut and you’re getting praises from friends. Our very own Filipina hairdresser, Vera Fink, has been training students doing hairdressing course in her own shop called Cut Smart Hair Professionals. Vera is popular in the Dandenong Hub not only because of her smart styling but because of her charming ways when she deals with her customers. A Filipina customer, who was then waiting for her turn, said she would come all the way from Pakenham to queue because she only wants Vera to touch her hair. She has become Vera’s suki.

Vera has endeared not only Filipino customers but other nationalities such as Indians, Pakistanis, Chinese and Australians. A new customer can easily see how Vera treats her old customers and those walk-in customers. She talks to them, asks them friendly questions, advices on what cut suits them, or just offer them free coffee. Her four regular staff are always busy especially on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Despite the busy sked, Vera always manages to smile and greet her customers. She has her own way of re-assuring them they would be attended to.

Customers do not mind the long line though. In fact, they keep coming back.

Vera who used to be an employee of Cut Smart bought the shop from the previous owner.
