If you are thinking of traveling soon, there are special places that might appeal to you, especially if you are a Filipino-Australian. Colourful and exotic, these locations boast the excitement and vibrancy that can give you the adventure that you’re seeking.

1. Italy

Italy is known for its beauty as well as its culture. From the canals of Venice to the fountains of Rome, there is much for the traveler to enjoy. Australians seeking a stunning gem set on the Ligurian Sea can visit Cinque Terre; travelers fall in love with the charm and colour of this sunny location.

Explore on foot, as you cannot drive in the town. Levanto and Portovenere are other towns you might want to visit in the area. It is easy to get to from Florence and Pisa; enjoy the leaning bell tower while in Pisa.

2. United States

With the size of the country being as large as it is, there is much to see here. Visit Arizona, for amazing rock formations, the Grand Canyon and stunning scenery. Another destination, especially for music lovers, is Nashville, Tennessee.

You can find diners and murals, such as the Hillsboro Village mural and the well-known what Lifts You wings; it is located in the Gulch area. A hall of fame for country music and a hotel from a former train station await the visitor. Interested in seeing a plantation? Nashville has one called Belle Meade Plantation.

Nashville includes many famous entertainment and dining options that the Australian visitor might enjoy as well. Visit places where music history has been made.

Attend a concert or show. You can also enjoy free live music with a walk down the Honky Tonk Highway or sip cocktails from a rooftop bar. Nashville offers much to the traveler in the way of history, music, and excitement.

3. India

There are many cities worth visiting here as well as seeing the stunning surrounding landscapes. You might want to go to Agra, home of the Taj Mahal, a mausoleum built in honour of Shah Jahan’s favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal; it still holds her remains.

Agra has World Heritage Sites to explore and enjoy. Looking for a break from the busy cities? Head to Goa, an Indian state that boasts the Dudhasagar Falls, a 600-meter high waterfall as well as renowned beaches, such as Fort Aguada Beach.

Head to snowcapped mountains with a visit to Manali, where cascading waterfalls beckon to the traveler. Interesting wildlife and plants are also spotted by visitors to this region.

You can send money to India from Australia to reserve a tour or place to stay. If you need cash while there, that is also a possibility while traveling. Exploring the cities as well as the surrounding areas is part of the fun of visiting India.

4. Myanmar

Myanmar is formerly known as Burma. Bagan is an ancient city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Mandalay Region; from the 9th to 13th centuries, the city was the capital of the Pagan Kingdom. Htilominlo Temple, Nagoyan Temple, Ananda Temple, and others will inspire you with their architecture and superb beauty. 

5. Peru

A 15th century Inca citadel, you’ll find Machu Picchu in southern Peru; it is situated in the Eastern Cordillera. It is the most widely known icon of the Inca civilization. Declared a Peruvian Historic Sanctuary in 1981, Machu Picchu was also named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. It was voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World through a poll given on the internet.

When getting ready for your trip, whether you send money to India from Australia or check the local weather during the season to visit, you should be as prepared as possible ahead of your travels. Then your visit should be relaxing and enjoyable and an experience quite different from your Australian home.
