April is celebrated as Filipino Food Month, an annual event in the Philippines dedicated to showcasing the country’s rich culinary heritage.

This month-long celebration aims to promote Filipino cuisine’s diversity and flavours, not just within the Philippines but also on an international stage. The initiative seeks to encourage a broader appreciation for Filipino culinary traditions and distinctive dishes through a series of events, festivals, and promotions.

In Sydney, the festivities for Filipino Food Month are kicking off with an exciting array of events designed to offer a taste of the Philippines’ vibrant food culture.

Coffee enthusiasts can look forward to “Beyond Barako,” a session dedicated to exploring the rich variety of Philippine coffee beyond the well-known Barako bean.
