Jubilee Cross to grace 40 parishes in Victoria

The CCR (Catholic Charismatic Renewal) Melbourne will celebrate the golden jubilee of the worldwide Catholic Charismatic Renewal together in 2017.

To celebrate the great gift of the Holy Spirit, the Jubilee Cross will be carried to 40 different parishes in 40 weeks across Victoria to show God’s love for all people.

The jubilee celebration started with a Mass celebrated by Melbourne Archbishop Denis Hart on 26 February at St Patrick’s Cathedral. Archbishop Hart blessed the cross which signaled the start of the 40-parish journey.

The journey will be divided to four sectors: North, East, South and West with 10 parishes for each sector to host the Cross for a week. Each sector has one regional Mass in one parish.

The Jubilee Cross is expected to be in the south east area by end of June to start at Holy Family in Doveton, then to Divine Mercy Shrine, St. Kevin’s at Hampton Park, Cranbourne, Frankston, Mornington and so on.
