Pamana Ball honours NARRA-Plaza Filipino Ambassadors for Culture and the Arts 2025

On 2 February 2025, the National Alliance of Respectable and Responsible Associations (NARRA) and Plaza Filipino jointly held the Pamana Ball at Liverpool Catholic Club to celebrate seventeen honourees as Ambassador of Culture and the Arts 2025. This was the 8th year that they held the event to pay tribute to individuals who have contributed to the Filipino-Australian community and beyond through their respective fields of expertise and through various community organisations. The secondary aim of the event was to raise funds towards building a community centre and other initiatives of the group.

There was a festive atmosphere as guests in their elegant Filipiniana or formal attire happily mingled and greetings for the new year and congratulatory wishes to honourees present at the event. The guests enjoyed the music played by the popular Re-Groove Band comprised of Fil-Aus husband and wife artists as they entered and found their respective tables.

Following the singing of the Philippine and the Australian national anthems, the invocation was done by Saria Sarias, one of the honourees. This was followed by the warm welcoming remarks by NARRA’s President Fredisinda Buchlak and the inspiring message by the Consul General of the Philippine Consulate Sydney, Hon. Charmaine Rowena Aviquivil, who thereafter inducted the 2024 officers of NARRA Coop Ltd. Later in the evening, the Consul General also inducted the officers of the Australian Philippine Business Council Inc. which is composed of a number of NARRA officers and past and present Ambassadors of Culture and the Arts.
