New WBA World light flyweight boxer Randy Petalcorin knocked out Panama Walter Tello in Shanghai Tuesday night in front of 8,000 people to win the Light Flyweight world title by 7th KO. Randy Petalcorin destroyed Panama Walter Tello dropping him twice in the 7th round with a left uppercut followed by a right hook. Tello’s body landed one and his legs the other way. He was flattened,” said Peter Maniatis, Randy’s Australian Manager/Promoter.

“Manny Pacquiao was ringside for the Top Rank promoted card along with Freddie Roach and Bob Arum and everyone agreed in the arena a new star is born for world boxing with 22 year old Randy Petalcorin,” added Peter.

Randy’s next WBA world title defence could be on the Manny Pacquiao undercard in Macau in 23 November or a Zou Shimming card in Macau in February. “It’s up in the air at the moment but Randy pulled up very well after his title win,” said Peter.

Randy has become a Filipino boxing sensation in Australia after winning several matches in Australia. Filipino-Australians are supporting him whenever he has fights in Australia.
