Filipinos will now have one less thing to worry when transiting in New Zealand. {{more}}

The Philippine Embassy in Santiago announced recently that it has received communication from the Embassy of New Zealand in Santiago that Filipinos transiting through New Zealand en route to other destinations will have no need of securing transit visas.

The Department of Foreign Affairs released information that New Zealand will now waive the requirement to secure transit visa starting November 30.

By the end of this month, Filipinos will not need a visa to pass through New Zealand, provided that they remain in the airport and their travel bookings show a stopover of no more than 24 hours. If they plan to stop over for more than 24 hours, or plan to leave the airport, they must apply for a visitor visa.
